The Tecnam P 92-2000RG is an all-metal, two-seat, single strut braced high-wing ultra-light aircraft with retractable gear built by Tecnam. Costruzioni Aeronautiche TECNAM S.r.l., Capua, Italy, was founded in 1986 by the Brothers Luigi and Giovanni Pascale (formerly Partenavia). Tecnam entered the MLA-market with the P.92 Echo. The Echo first flew in 1992. Three engines were available: the Rotax 582; the Rotax 912 and the Limbach L2000. The P92 is deliverable completed or as an assembly-kit. Over the years the Technam P92 Echo evolved to the P92 Echo Super, P92-JS Echo, P92 Echo Super de Luxe, P92 Eaglet, etc.. The original P92 Echo was modernised over the years and is now available as the P92 Echo Classic. Next to the MLA (Micro Light Aeroplane), the P92 is available as a VLA (Very Light Aircraft). The Tecnam P92 variants are in use as well as an Microlight touring and training aircraft. As VLA the P92 is used as replacement for the aging Cessna 152 and Piper Tomahawk training aircraft.

The 2001-built Tecnam P 92-2000RG s/n 02 was registered I-6746 in Italy. On 30 November 2007, registration PH-4D2 was reserved in the Netherlands. The aircraft was flown to Rotterdam The Hageu Airport, the future home base of the aircraft. On 9 July 2008, the Tecnam P 92-2000RG was registered PH-4D2 with Stichting Angel Air, Maassluis. On 7 February 2013, Tecnam P 92-2000RG PH-4D2 was registered with F.M. Bouwer, Augustinusga. The airframe is powered by a 100 hp light-weight Rotax 912 S four strokes, liquid cooled engine.
