bmibaby is a subsidiary of British Midland Airways and was formed in January 2002. In 2005, bmibaby operated
a fleet of 10 Boeing 737-300 and 6 Boeing 737-500 airliners on scheduled and charter flights. Boeing 737-59D s/n 26421 l/n 2279 flew first
on 23 April 1992 and was delivered as SE-DNK. Linjeflyg, LOT and SAS operated the Boeing before it was
transferred to British Midland Airways. On 25 November 1994, the Boeing was registered G-BVKD in the UK with
British Midland Airways Ltd. The G-BVKD was operated by BMI British Midland until May 2003 when it was transferred
to bmibaby. On 13 July 2009, Bmibaby's Visit Wales logojet' Boeing 737-59D G-BVKD was seen at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (EHAM/AMS).
