Maersk Air of Denmark is part of the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group and started their flying operations in 1970 with the Fokker F-27 Friendship. In 2005 Maersk operated a fleet of Boeing 737-500 and Boeing 737-700 airliners on scheduled and charter flights. Boeing 737-7L9 c/n 28008 l/n 203 flew first on 29 January 1999 as N1786B and was delivered to Maersk Air as OY-MRE on 16 February 1999. The Boeing was seen at Groningen Airport Eelde in the Netherlands on a flight Oslo-Groningen.
