Rans Inc. was founded by Randy Schlitter in 1974 and started with the development of sailtrikes. In 1983, Rans Inc. started with the production of aircraft and has delivered over 4000 UL-aeroplanes complete or as a building package since. Today, Rans Aircraft designs and builds UL-aeroplanes and light-sport-aircraft. The production-prototype of the Rans S-6 flew first in November 1988. The two-seat Rans S-6S entered production in 1993. In April 1990, the Rans S-6ES went into production. It is the second generation of the original S-6 design. The standard engine of the Rans S-6S is the Rotax 503; 582; 912 or 912S. Already over 1700 Rans S-6 Coyote II Series kits has been delivered to customers throughout the world.

Rans S-6ES Coyote II-582 OO-C06 was photographed at Sanicole airfield near Hechtel and Leopoldsburg in Belgium. This Coyote II has a special noise-reducing 6 blades propeller. This MLA was registered before OO-C06 and 59-QS (French ULM-register).
