The Turkish charter airliner Sky Airlines (SHY) was established in 2000 as an affiliate of the KayiGroup, located in Antalya, Turkey. On 12 April 2001, commercial flights started with a fleet of 2 Boeing 737-400 airliners. In 2009, Sky Airlines operates six Boeing 737-400, one Boeing 737-800, two Airbus A.320-211 and two Airbus A.321-231 airliners.

Airbus A.321-231 c/n 1670 was test flown as D-AVZU on 24 January 2002. The aircraft is owned by CITG. On 26 February 2002, the airliner was delivered as HL7712 to Asiana Airlines in Seoul, Republic of Korea. In April 2009, the Airbus was transfered to Sky Airlines and on 1 May, the Airbus entered service with Sky Airlines as TC-SKL. When photographed at Groningen Airport Eelde in the Netherlands, the Airbus A.321-231 TC-SKL "Adam & Eve" was operated on a holiday flight.
